A unique history provides the roots for Aeroglide's experience in the polymer industry. During the rubber demand crisis prior to World War II, Aeroglide's C. G. Sargent’s Sons company was specifically chosen by the United States Defense Department to design conveyor drying systems for thermal drying of many different grades of synthetic rubber. Because so many dryers were required in a short period of time, it was necessary that Sargent share this special design information with other dryer manufacturers. After the war, these synthetic rubber processing plants were sold into private industry, becoming some of the major synthetic rubber and elastomer producers we know today; companies such as Goodyear, Firestone and Crompton. Aeroglide's continued product development and testing has taken the place of older design data and has provided the industry with greater processing options. This depth of knowledge of dryer design in elastomer and synthetic rubber applications have allowed companies to expanded their operations globally.
Coupling Aeroglide's range of thermal processing solutions, with a multitude of robust dryer designs from which to choose, gives our rubber producing customers the greatest opportunity to succeed.
