There are several by-products from ethanol production that can be transformed into profitable end products when dried properly. For grain-based ethanol this includes dried distillers grain solubles (DDGS). For cellulosic ethanol this includes the spent cellulose material. Regardless of the source material for ethanol, Aeroglide can take the wet cake and syrup streams and dry them down to provide a high quality finished product. In the case of DDGS, the final dried product provides a high protein feed ingredient. Aeroglide’s rotary dryers and coolers are the choice for high throughput capacity on these products. Single pass and three pass configurations are available. Heating options include steam, gas, oil, thermal oil or biomass burner system.

Applications:
Aeroglide rotary dryers are used to dry the wet DDGS or cellulose to a stable, final moisture content. Our mixing screws blend the incoming product with dried material and syrup when applicable to provide optimum handling conditions in the rotary dryer. Aeroglide rotary coolers are used for final cooling of the dried product prior to storage or loading.
